A 55-year-old man is hospitalized after being shot Monday afternoon.
Sedgwick County deputies were called to the 4500 block of South Meadowview, near 47th South and K-15, around 5:2o p.m. They found the injured man with several gunshot wounds, who was taken to a hospital with critical injuries. There has not been an update on his condition yet.
A 62-year-old man was arrested at the home where the shooting happened. Officials say he and the victim are family members. The suspect was booked into jail for aggravated battery.
An investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
