Wichita’s Riverfest is underway with a nine day schedule that includes music concerts, a food court, a carnival and a variety of games and activities to celebrate its 50th anniversary.

The Quantum Credit Union Food Court was opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony near Century II.  The Friday evening schedule includes the Safelite Auto Glass Sundown Parade and a performance by the Wichita Symphony Orchestra, followed by a fireworks show.

Saturday will have the Fidelity Bank River Run in the morning, Cowboy Bathtub Races at 2 p.m. and a concert by Willie Nelson and Family will be held at 9 p.m.

Exploration Place will present a Drone Show Saturday and Sunday nights at 10.   There are also a number of events for Kids’ Corner Friday evening and throughout the day Saturday and Sunday.

Riverfest is open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday.    Admission buttons are $15 for adults and $5 for children 6 to 12 years of age.   Children 5 and under will be admitted free.   Buttons are available at Quik Trip stores.

Riverfest runs through June 11th along the banks of the Arkansas River in downtown Wichita.
