Police have a suspect in custody after a shooting at a south Wichita home.
Officers were called to the 1900 block of South Dellrose around 9:45 p.m. Thursday and they found a 39-year-old woman with several gunshot wounds. She was taken to a hospital with serious injuries, but police said the injuries were not life-threatening.
Investigators said the woman was at the home with her boyfriend when they got into an argument, and the boyfriend fired several shots. He ran from the home and was later found by police in Haysville. The 47-year-old man was booked into jail for attempted first degree murder, criminal possession of a firearm and other charges.
