Two long-running businesses in Old Town that share a location announced that they will be closing next month.

The owners of Pinot’s Palette and its neighboring retail wine and spirits store Beyond Napa said the fallout from the pandemic coupled with the rising cost of goods after the fact are the main reasons for the decision.

Shawn Siedhoff and Ruthanne Timm-Siedhoff owned both locations, and have been Old Town business owners for 35 years.

Pinot’s Pallette has been a popular date-night location, offering painting and wine. The pair said that along with rising costs, there have also been fewer customers, making it impossible for them to keep their doors open.

The Siedhoff’s made the announcement via social media on Friday.
