The Star Spangled Salute is brought to you by
Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors Vietnam War Navy Veteran Ken Fabiani. After his service and after a leg amputation, Ken said he felt bored just sitting around and he knew he had to keep moving and stay active, so now he puts 5,000-10,000 steps a day in. Most of those steps happen in a donated 10×20 storage locker. The unit is packed with donated couches, desks, dressers and more that are ready for a new home. Those homes, are the homes of other Veterans who can’t afford the basics, like furnishings for their homes. The man that was once on the cover of Life Magazine is now the face of kindness for so many. Thank you Ken for giving and THANK YOU for your service.
