Sedgwick County officials on Friday said that the community transmission for COVID-19 are now low.
According to the county’s dashboard, positive tests are continuing to trend downward to 13%. Comparatively, positive tests were at 17% percent in late July.
Statewide, the Kansas Department of Health and Environment reports that cases have been on a downward trend since the middle of July. There were 500 new cases of COVID in the state this week, down from 695 last week.
Officials say that residents who may be experiencing symptoms, have tested positive, or have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 are advised to wear a mask.
