A Hutchinson woman was charged with first-degree murder in Sedgwick County Court following a hit-and-run incident that killed a Wichita man.
36 year old Ashley Corley allegedly struck and killed the man last Friday in the 3000 block of West 9th St. She faces additional charges of theft, failure to stop at an accident resulting in death, and driving with a suspended license.
According to court records, the vehicle used in the incident was reported stolen.
Corley is currently being held in the Sedgwick County Jail on a $500,000 bond. Her next court date is scheduled for Oct. 31st.
The victim’s name has not been released.
