Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors Veteran Retired Army Colonel and skilled wood worker, Dr. Mike Judah. Mike says he has built almost everything out of wood. He can do it, no problem. His latest project took months and many hours of his spare time, but the result is beautiful. A 6 foot 2 inch tall, Grandfather clock. Since Mike did not have a need, or the room, for such a work of art, he decided he wanted to donate it and raffle it off for a good cause. After talking to his friend, a Veteran Army Ranger, they chose the Veteran organization “Our Veterans First” . Their mission is to help local veterans that don’t get any help anywhere else. Particularly veterans who are homeless or who are at-risk. The tickets are $25 each and the drawing will be held on Veteran’s Day. Mike hopes to raise $5,000.
