The Wichita Toy Run is happening this Sunday, and there will be road closures from downtown Wichita all the way up to Hartman Arena.
Riders will gather near Century II Sunday morning, which will have Douglas closed from McLean to Main from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Starting around 1 p.m., riders will head east to Broadway and continue north to Hartman Arena. This will have Broadway blocked from Douglas up to the arena, from 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. The only way drivers can cross the route during this time is by using I-235.
The Toy Run is an annual event where motorcycle riders pick up donations to help out kids at Christmas time. This helps support programs by the Salvation Army, Toys for Tots, and the Kansas Food Bank.
