Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors 80-year-old Navy Veteran Kenneth Jary. Every day Kenneth would make a daily trip on his scooter to his local Veterans Park to honor those who had gone before, until his scooter broke down. Kenneth said that trip was his life, and he became very depressed. Then Kenneth met Amanda Kline, a complete stranger who started a fundraiser and got Kenneth a new scooter. Kenneth and Amanda have since been paying if forward and have donated more than 50 mobility scooters to other Veterans in need. Thank you for being helpers Amanda and Kenneth and THANK YOU Kenneth for your service.
