The Cancer Moonshot roundtable originally scheduled in January has been reset for Thursday, February 23rd from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The roundtable will be at the KU School of Medicine-Wichita and aims to better understand the experiences of community members living with, impacted by, or surviving cancer.

The University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita, Masonic Cancer Alliance, the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, the Kansas Cancer Partnership, Cancer Center of Kansas and Ascension Via Christi are sponsoring the listening roundtable through the Cancer Moonshot program.

Community members are invited to share their stories and provide feedback about their experiences and needs. Researchers, community leaders and health care professionals are invited to talk about their experiences, resources, updates and efforts to accelerate progress in cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment and care.Cancer Moonshot began in 2016 and was reignited by President Biden in February 2022, with the goal of reducing the cancer death rate by at least 50% over the next 25 years and improving the experience of living with and surviving cancer.

Community can RSVP to attend this free event by going to bit.ly/CancerMoonshotWichita.
