Sentencing has been delayed for a former El Dorado corrections officer who was convicted in the child abuse death of his three-month-old son.
Kaleb Hogan asked for a new trial on Monday in Butler County District Court in El Dorado, and his motion claimed ineffective counsel. A hearing was scheduled on the motion for April 24th.
Hogan was convicted in January in the death of three-month-old Malykai Hogan in March, 2021. Investigators said the child died of injuries related to child abuse.
