A paper mill in Hutchinson is closing its doors.
Employees at the Sonoco plant at 100 North Halstead found out about the closure following a meeting Monday morning. The closure will result in the loss of 116 jobs.
Sonoco purchased the plant in 2001, but the plant has been in operation since 1909.
State and local agencies will work with the plant employees to help them in transitioning to new jobs.
