Wichita Festivals has kicked off the sales of discounted admission buttons for this year’s Riverfest.
An event was held at the Meineke Car Care Center at 2344 South Seneca to begin the early sales of Riverfest buttons. The buttons will be $10 for adults and $5 for children at Meineke locations in Wichita and Derby. Starting May 6th, full price buttons will be available at area Quik Trip stores. The buttons will be $15 for adults and $5 for children. Admission for children five and younger will be free. The Wichita Festivals office at 444 East William will also have buttons during the early bird and full price sales periods.
Riverfest will be held from June 2nd through June 10th.
Wichita Festivals also announced the concert lineup for the 51st Riverfest. The first concert on June 2nd will feature Cash Hollistah with DJ Carbon and Shaggy. On June 3rd, the lineup will have Reid Haughton and Wilderado with Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors. The Downtown Get Down event will be June 4th with Kevin Harrison and the Brand and Parker Millsap. Other performers on the Riverfest schedule include Blind Boys of Alabama, Eli Young Band, Gin Blossoms, Haymakers and The Soul Rebels. Fiesta Del Rio will be held on June 9th.
This year’s Riverfest will have some new events, with “Chicken Little” presented by Wichita Children’s Theatre, the Plein Air art competition where people can watch artists create in the outdoors, and the Downtown Get Down music event.
Riverfest will again have the Sundown Parade, the River Run, Opening Night Fireworks and the Fireworks Finale.
