Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors Army Veteran and Author Bill Freeman. Bill once wrote, “A person dies twice; once when they physically die and second when no one remembers them.” His mission, his purpose of his book is to makes sure that the 59 men from his town of Fontana are not forgotten. The book, “Fontana Honor Roll: Our Local Heroes” tells the stories of the 59 men who died serving their country in WWII, the Korean War, the Vietnam War and the War on Terror. Thanks in part to the book, the city of Fontana is now building a memorial, dedicated to those 59 men. Thank you Bill for helping recall the history of these men and THANK YOU for your service.
