freeze-warning

A large area of Kansas could get a hard freeze over the weekend as temperatures drop into the 20s.

A freeze warning is in effect from midnight to 9 a.m. Sunday for central, south central and eastern Kansas.   The warning is for Sedgwick County and all of the surrounding counties, with temperatures as low as 26 degrees expected.

Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops and plants, and there could be damage to outdoor plumbing.  Homeowners are urged to take precautions to protect plants and outdoor water pipes.
