Today’s Star Spangled Salute honors Vietnam Veteran Barry Anderson. Barry served in the 577th Engineering Branch of the United States Army. He received the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. These day, Barry, lives with a disability and relys on others for transportation to get to and from appointments.That had been a challenge till now. Travelers Insurance Company with the National Auto Body Council’s Recycled Rides Program and a local collision center to gift Barry a refurbished car. “I am so excited I just don’t have the words to express myself, and I’m thankful to everyone who helped me to receive this blessing, mainly to God. He’s been good to me,” Barry said when they handed him the keys on Tuesday. Enjoy your new freedom Barry and THANK YOU for your service.
