Today “JJ’s Star Spangled Salute” honors Veteran Douglas Paige. After 6 long years of sleeping on his couch because his roof on the 2nd floor of his home leaked so bad, he finally got it fix thanks to Habitat For Humanity. After so many issues with insurance companies and contractors running off with his money, Habitat completed the $22,000 job. Now, Douglas is taking his gratitude to Pennsylvania’s state capitol and is lobbying to get funding for a state program that could help other Veterans and homeowners with similar challenges.
