The Walt Disney Co. announced on Wednesday that it plans to combine content from Hulu and Disney+ into a single app experience by the end of the year. CEO Bob Iger said the move will provide greater opportunities for advertisers and give bundle subscribers access to more content. The announcement follows months of speculation over the future of Hulu, which is owned by Disney and Comcast. Disney+ has 157.8 million global subscribers, but Hulu lags behind more dominant streaming players such as Netflix.
