Todays’ Star Spangled Salute honors a rare moment where politicans and leaders and Veterans on both sides of the political aisle, joined together recently to do something important. The grabbed soap, and water and sponges and cleaned the Vietnam War Memorial in Washington D.C. So when visitors, including those on our very own Kansas Honor Flight visit it, it will look it’s best representing the Vietnam War and the more than 58,000 names who sacrificed so much. A group included Veterans Reps. Mike Waltz and Seth Moulton, who participated in a volunteer cleaning of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial ahead of Memorial Day. It was Mike Waltz, a combat-decorated Green Beret, has led the effort in hand-washing the memorial in Washington in recent years. Thank you Mike Waltz, and the other Veterans and volunteers for helping and to all the Veterans who helped – THANK YOU for your service.
