Wednesday morning and there are a bunch of things trending and top of mind to talk about and share with your ‘people’. Riverfest, Shockers – Jayhawks basketball in December, NBA Finals, NHL finals – but I’m going to focus on a couple of the bigger stories.

One of the hottest comics on the planet is coming to Wichita.  Matt Rife is bringing his ProbleMaTTic Tour to Century II on Oct. 19th.  The part of this story that many of you were talking about last night on Kennedy Plaza at Riverfest – was how FAST the presale sold out on the first show, they added a 2nd show and that pre-sale sold out just as fast.  If you got tickets, good for you.  If you were like me, keep trying, there is another pre-sale today if you have the code. I’m not a golfer but even I realize how big this is for sports and the world of golf.   The PGA and rival LIV Golf have announced a proposed merger, trying to prove they are stronger together than they are apart, since the PGA has lost some of it’s stars to the upstart LIV Golf.  The merger is in the approval stage

and Entertainment is a HUGE part of most of our lives. TV, Movies, Streaming – The writers strike is have more and more effect on our favorite shows.  Well, now the Screen Actors Guild overwhelmingly approved a strike, which could create even bigger issues.  I predict family game night, reading books and more time doing stuff outdoors is in our future.
