Today, JJ’s Star Spangled Salute honors Revolutionary War Veteran John Wade Keyes. John fought in the Revolutionary War and the other day, at his grave site in Athens Alabama, John was honored with the designation of Alabama’s first Veteran – an original patriot. Volunteers laid a wreath to remember him while dressed in Revolutionary War uniforms. Gary Mike Rose, a local veteran and Medal of Honor recipient attended the ceremony and said people should never forget the sacrifices early patriots made during the revolution.
