Sedgwick County activated its non-emergency line on Friday. The line will remain active through Wednesday, July 5th.
Those who have complaints about loud parties, fireworks, or other non-emergency issues are urged to called non-emergency line at 316-290-1011 in lieu of dialing 911. The non-emergency line will be active from 6 p.m. to 3 a.m. over the 5-day holiday period.
Officials are urging the line’s use due to a recent surge in non-emergency calls, which can prevent dispatchers from receiving more urgent ones.
