Isn’t it sad that we get excited about the fact that instead of 106 degrees today, it’s only going to be 100.  I’ll take the baby steps for the win.  Let’s get to 5 things you need to know

1. 5 hours, that’s how long the actions of a cowardly domestic terrorist shut down Kellogg in both directions yesterday after placing a suspicious package outside Trust Women Health Clinic.  Turns out there was no bomb, but a full investigation by local, state and federal officials is ongoing.

2. The heaviest animal to have ever lived has been discovered.  The fossil remains of Perucetus Colossus, or “the colossal whale from Peru”—are roughly 39 million years old and the creature was estimated to weigh 300 tons or more – about 2 to 3 times the size of a Blue Whale.

3. If NFL kickoff weekend is like Christmas for football fans, then pre-season football is like Christmas Eve.  Pre-season kicks off tonight with the Jets and Browns in the HOF game from Canton, Ohio.  You can catch the game on NBC

4. Taxes are scary, change is scary…and the two are about to collide. The IRS has unveiled plans to offer digital correspondence for the 2024 tax season, building on the agency’s decade-long overhaul of improved service, technology and compliance. By 2025, the agency aims to achieve “paperless processing” for tax returns and so-called information returns, used by employers and financial institutions.

5. And what an epic journey. A man from Denmark named “Thor” just finished a 10-year-journey. His mission was to visit every country in the world without flying and he did just that.  Can you imagine what his roaming charges were like.  Honestly, I don’t see what the big deal is, I can visit every country in the world with out flying and do it in a day.  Someone really should have told this dude about the internet.

And THAT’S TRENDING
