Today, JJ’s Star Spangled Salute honors Vietnam War Navy Veteran Anthony Meizis. Anthony was a Lance Corporal in the Navy and had taken care of planning his funeral, including paying for it. The trouble is, there was no family to attend. A cousin who was unable to attend due to her disability and that was it. Set to be sent to his final resting place alone, the funeral director contacted a veteran group called No Veteran Buried Alone. After a call went out on facebook, more than a hundred riders have joined a procession that will attend Anthony’s funeral today.
