One injured, one arrested after shooting in Wichita’s Old Town district

One injured, one arrested after shooting in Wichita’s Old Town district

Police arrested a 27-year-old Wichita man early Sunday after a shooting incident in the city’s Old Town district.

Officers heard gunfire around 1:30 a.m. in the 100 block of North Mosley, and as they rushed in they saw a man running from the scene of the shooting.  The man was quickly arrested, and officers then found a 33-year-old Wichita man with several gunshot wounds to his lower body.   They provided medical treatment until EMS crews arrived, and the victim was taken to a hospital in serious condition.   His injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
