A Wichita man has been charged with capital murder in connection with a fatal domestic violence incident last weekend.
22-year-old Alexander Lewis appeared in court and his bond was set at $500,000. His next court hearing is scheduled for September 14th.
Lewis was arrested last Saturday, August 26th after police were called to the 7600 block of East 21st Street North. Officers found 19-year-old Zaiylah Bronson in the trunk of a car, and she was pronounced dead. She was pregnant with a male child.
Police said there was a call to 911 from one of Lewis’ family members in North Carolina, reporting that he may have harmed his girlfriend.
