Today, JJ’s Star Spangled Salute honors Army Veteran Retired Sgt. First Class Juan Santiago. Juan is a Florida Veteran Hall of Fame inductee and recently received a U.S. Army Recruiting Excellence Medallion, because from 2014 to 2020 Juan worked in his local Army recruiting office he has also helped with recruiting in high schools throughout the county. Juan served in the U.S. Army for nearly 23 years, including five consecutive tours in Vietnam, and has been volunteering since 2004.
