People from the Revolution Club of Chicago protested outside the Jason Aldean concert Saturday (9/9) by marching, yelling, and setting American flags on fire before the police arrived. Reportedly, the group identify themselves as “communists” and taunted Jason Aldean concert goers.
One protester told the Chicago Tribune, “Guess what Jason? We will try that in a small town. We will try that in a big city. And we will try it right in front of your concert.” Clearly a shot at Jason’s song “Try That In A Small Town.” Protesters said they weren’t scared to attempt anything and called Jason a “fascist piece of s***.”
Many Chicago Police Department officers arrived on scene and ordered everyone to disperse, declaring that their meeting had been illegal and that they were disrupting the peace. As the group left, police used a fire extinguisher to put out a flag that was still burning. There were no other incidents after the gathering dispersed. No arrests ere made.
