Cowley County officials have filed charges in connection with a Memorial Day weekend boat crash that injured a Haysville girl.
Prosecutors have filed 14 counts against Jacob Taylor Williams, including aggravated battery, child endangerment, and boating under the influence of alcohol.
The charges are connected to a May 26th crash at Winfield Lake that injured 10-year-old Rielynn Martin. She suffered a fractured skull and other injuries and spent two weeks at a rehabilitation hospital in Omaha, Nebraska.
Officials said a speed boat collided with a pontoon boat on the lake. Another child and an adult had less serious injuries from the crash.
