Hard to believe in 10 days, September will be done.  I’m not looking to wish my life away, in fact this time of year I want it to slow down more than anything. Fall, the holidays, fire pits….some things you wish would last forever, right. So, let’s not focus on that, let’s focus on knowing the trending news stories.  Here are 5 things you need to know in today’s “That’s Trending”

1. Taylor Swift just broke Google.  She teamed up with Google for a fun vault-puzzle game that would allow smart Swifties to solve the puzzles to reveal the titles of the tracks in Taylor upcoming release of her version of “1989”.  However, shocking, there’s been a glitch because apparently not even Google can handle all that traffic.  You break it, you buy it and I’m pretty sure Taylor could if she wanted to

2. If you like Disney Theme Parks and Disney Cruises, good news, the company just announced they are committing $60B over the next 10 years to invest in what they are calling “far reaching projects”.

3. Amazon is looking for fill 700 new jobs here in the Wichita area at their fullfilment center in Park City and their delivery center in Wichita. You can apply online today.

4. Covid levels are so high, they’re hovering near 2020’s initial peak, with over 650K Americans becoming infected daily, with hospitalizations on the rise.  The World Health Organization urges those at high risk to take any booster they can get their hands on.

5. And the Haysville Library has temporarily closed due to a bug infestation. The library has set up a temporary check-in system at the gazebo north of the library entrance. Staff will be there from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday until the infestation is clear. In addition, the library has partnered with an app called “LIBBY” for visitors to access online reading material.  No one is saying what kind of bugs, but everyone knows it’s ‘book worms” ….
