5. and for the first time in the history of the state of Wisconsin, there have been Flamingo’s spotted in the state. Residents and tourists are flocking to the shores of Lake Michigan about 20 miles north of Milwaukee to see the 3 adult flamingos and 2 juvenille flaminogos and they dipped their toes in the chilly lake water. Scientists suspect that the birds were blown north in late August by the strong winds of Hurricane Idalia.
