Today, JJ’s Star Spangled Salute honors Army Veteran Yomari Cruz. Yomari enlisted in 2010. She was soon deployed to Afghanistan where she says, things got real the moment she landed. When it was finally time for Yomari to transition back to civilian life, there were many challenges including PTSD. One particularly difficult July 4th, a neighbor sat with her and told her about the Wounded Warrior Project. Signing up for their help was life changing. From their mental health programs to being able to advocate on Capitol Hill. Thank you to the Wounded Warrior Project for being there and Yomari, THANK YOU for your service.
