Today, JJ’s Star Spangled Salute honors Air Force Veteran Annette Denning. When Annette first joined the Air Force, her plan was to stay the required 6 years to qualify for the G.I. Bill and then further her education. 20 years later, when she returned to civilian life, life took a different path. She recently hiked the 500 mile Colorado trail with her dog Newt to raise money for the organization “Homes For Our Troops”. Hiking not only helped her but it helped others.
