Two incumbents won re-election and four vacant seats were filled in Wichita City Council and school board races in Tuesday’s general election.

Incumbent Becky Tuttle won re-election for City Council District 2, with 7,551 votes, 64 percent of the vote.   Marcey Gregory had 3,808 votes and Hatim Zeineddine finished with 497 votes.

In the District 4 City Council race, Dalton Glasscock was the winner with 4,793 votes, for 62 percent of the vote, while Judy Pierce had 2,932.   Incumbent Jeff Blubaugh is finishing his two-term limit on the council.

In District 5, J.V. Johnston captured 7,591 votes, for 55 percent.  Gary Bond had 3,407 votes for 25 percent and Ben Taylor had 2,755 for 20 percent of the vote.

In the race for the Wichita Board of Education At Large seat, Melody McCray-Miller had 22,732 votes for 53 percent of the vote.  Brent Davis had 19,976 votes.

In the District 3 race for school board, Ngoc Vuong was the winner with 2,733 votes, for 57 percent of the vote.  Ken Carpenter had 2,069 votes.

Incumbent Stan Reeser won another term in the District 4 school board race with 2,122 votes for 55 percent.  Jason Carmichael had 1,767 votes.

The results will be unofficial until provisional ballots can be counted and the final numbers are certified.   The turnout for Sedgwick County was 23.24 percent.
