Firefighters from several communities were called to battle a fire at a home in rural Harvey County early on Thanksgiving Day.
The fire was reported around 5 a.m. and crews from Newton, Sedgwick, Walton and Whitewater were called to the scene.
No one was home and there were no injuries, but several pets died in the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
