The Midwest Avian Foundation is looking for a missing red-tailed hawk named Harley.

Foundation officials said Harley escaped his enclosure earlier this week and he is believed to be in southeast Wichita, and he may be south of Lincoln between Woodlawn and Rock Road.   He has limited flight and could be tucked in a bush or tree with low-hanging branches.  He is wearing leather anklets and has two straps hanging down.   Harley is a bird used for educational programming.

Anyone who spots Harley in a tree should notify the Foundation.  If he is on the ground, he could be caught with a towel or blanket and placed in a box.

The numbers to call for the Foundation are 214-7705, 633-6303, or 616-7446.
