Kansas health officials have lifted a stream advisory that had been issued for Four Mile Creek in east Wichita after a sewer lift station overflowed and caused elevated levels of E. coli bacteria.
The Kansas Department of Health and Environment said Friday that water samples showed no health risk associated with the creek, and the creek is safe for secondary (wading) contact and livestock use.
The creek runs east of K-96 between 13th and 21st Streets North.
