Country star Chris Young was arrested Monday night at a Nashvhille bar and charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and assault of an officer (offensive contact). All are misdemeanors.
According to court documents, Agents with the Alcoholic Beverage Commission were doing compliance checks at Nashville Bars on Demonbreun Street. After they checked Chris’ ID, he allegedly started asking questions and video recording the activity.
Chris and some friends then followed the agents as they went to the bar next door. According to the affidavit, Chris began talking to the patrons and the bartender. Then as the agents went to leave, Chris put his hand out and made contact with the shoulder of an agent. From reports, the crowd was becoming ‘hostile’ after Chris was detained. Chris posted a $2,500 bond and was released Tuesday morning. His next court date is Feb. 16.
