Kansas Governor Laura Kelly said Monday that all funds have been awarded in a statewide education program to help students achieve academic success.
The Kansas Education Enrichment Program (KEEP) is no longer accepting applications, but it will remain open for claims submissions since beneficiaries have one year after the award date to use the funds.
Nearly 50,000 students in all 105 Kansas counties have been awarded funds in the program. The program provides qualifying parents and guardians with a $1,000 award per student to pay for educational goods and services such as tutoring, school supplies, camp, and music lessons. Awards were not eligible for private school tuition.
