2. King Charles III has been diagnosed with cancer, according to a statement from Buckingham Palace yesterday. The palace has not specified the type or the stage of cancer but noted the 75-year-old king had begun regular treatments. The cancer was detected during his recent treatment for a benign enlarged prostate; however, the palace confirmed it was not prostate cancer.

3. A second atmospheric river in four days has brought record rains to southern California since it pushed inland late Sunday and Monday, knocking out power to over a million households and killing at least three people from downed trees. Some areas of the state saw more rain in one day than is seen in an average year.

4. The NFL continues to expand it’s global and weekly reach.  The Philadelphia Eagles will play the very first NFL game in Brazil in the upcoming season.  It will be week one, on a Friday…the first opening weekend Friday game in over 50 years.  It will be played in Sao Paolo, Brazil and the opponent will be announce in a few weeks.

5. I love shoes and this story hurts my soul.  A Flori-DUH couple took to TikTok to show they cut the bottoms out of all their shoes so they could enjoy walking barefoot and encourage others to do the same. For the clicks and views they ruined their entire shoe collection they say is worth about $20,000. Was donating the shoes rather than ruining them even an option.  At this point, am I a terrible human being for hoping they get hook work?
