Today, JJ’s Star Spangled Salute honors Veteran Craig Querns. Just a couple weeks away from March, which is National Kidney Month, and after 3 possible matches didn’t work out, Craig received a life saving gift from a complete stranger. It’s not very often the receipient of an organ donation gets to meet their donor, but that’s just what happened the other day when Craig finally met Ben Kornelis. Ben has signed up to donate originally to help the nephew of a friend who was an Army medic, but instead his kidney was desitined for Craig. Now, the 20-year Veteran is looking forward to living a purposeful life and playing with his grandkids. Thank you Ben for your selfless act and THANK YOU CRAIG for your service.
