Republican Nikki Haley is ending her campaign for the presidency.
The news broke Wednesday after the former South Carolina governor picked up just one win on Super Tuesday, that being in Vermont. Her exit sets the stage for a Biden-Trump rematch.
While ending her bid for the GOP presidential nomination, Haley told her supporters she wishes Donald Trump well, but she did not officially endorse him. The former South Carolina Governor said she hopes Trump will bring the Republican party together, and added “he has a choice to make.” Haley was soundly defeated by former President Trump in the Super Tuesday primaries. She said she will not stop using her voice for what she believes in.
Just days ago, Haley cruised to victory in Washington, DC’s primary garnering nearly 63-percent of the vote, making her the first woman to win a Republican primary in U.S. history. She has already ruled out running alongside Trump as his potential vice president. Haley served as the former president’s ambassador to the United Nations from 2017 to 2018.
