Mattel is honoring Shania Twain with a Barbie doll for International Women’s Day. The country music icon said she’s “honored to be recognized as a Barbie role model,” and all she’s wanted to do her whole life is “tell stories of empowerment, independence and self-expression.” International Women’s Day is this Friday, March 8th.

Today is the grand opening of Garth Brooks’ Friends in Low Places Bar on Lower Broadway. Two floors of the four-floor venue will serve as a classic honky-tonk, one floor will be a private event space, and the rooftop will offer views of Music City. Yearwood created the dishes available on the menu, including burgers, steak, chicken tenders and shoestring fries.

It appears that there may be more to the FGL break up.  Brian Kelly just released a new single called “Kiss My Boots”.  I was watching the video and listening to the lyrics and right up until the end I’m thinking it could have been anybody who wronged him that he’s singing about…UNTIL…the final shot in the video that focuses on a belt buckle that said “Florida” – which was Brian Kelly’s role in FGL.
