Today, we honor Army Veteran Robert Cowan. Robert joined the Army in 1993 and served as a medic in high-risk obstetrics and labor & delivery, with Armor, Infantry, Recon, and Psy Ops. During his deployment to Iraq in December 2004, Robert was wounded in combat and medically retired after 16 years of service in 2009. Gratitude from the nation he served came to him the other day when the keys were handed to him that unlocked the door to his brand new, mortgage free home. With the house taken care of Robert says he plans on going back to school to get his degree. Robert said, ““I appreciate it more than I can ever say, but the heroes are the friends who didn’t come back and, I just did my job.” Enjoy your new home Robert and THANK YOU for your service.
