Kansas transportation officials say a bridge over the Kansas Turnpike will be closing for rehabilitation work.
The project is getting started for the U.S. Highway 166 bridge over I-35 near mile marker 4.049, east of South Haven. Crews will be working to increase the bridge’s vertical clearance and they will also do some rehabilitation work. The project is expected to be completed in late November, depending on weather conditions.
There will be some occasional lane closures on I-35 as the project continues.
The detour is marked with signage and it will use U.S. Highway 160 to the north, U.S. Highway 81 to the west and U.S. Highway 77 to the east.
