Happy Wed-Nes-Day….here are the 5 THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

1. Wichita was just named by Forbes Magazine one of the top cities in the country to move to. We are #4 on the list behind Oklahoma City, Raleigh, NC and Omaha. The only downside to the survey is Wichita has the highest crime rate of the top 5 cities on the list.  It’s not just families moving here, lots of businesses find it desirable too.  Like Love’s Truck Stop, which begins construction on their new truck stop at I-135 and 21st next week.

2. A 7.4-magnitude earthquake struck off the eastern coast of Taiwan this morning, triggering a tsunami and damaging buildings. The earthquake is believed to be the strongest to hit Taiwan in 25 years.

3. It’s the end of a piece of Las Vegas History. The Tropicana closed its doors yesterday, marking an end to the third-oldest hotel-casino in Las Vegas, with ties to the Mafia and celebrities. The Tropicana’s closure paves the way for the construction of a $1.5B Major League Baseball stadium that will house the Oakland Athletics.

4. Taylor Swift is on “Forbes'” Billionaires list. The singer-songwriter ranked at number two-thousand-545 on this year’s list with a one-point-one-billion-dollar net worth. According to “Forbes,” Swift is “the first musician to make the ranks solely based on her songs and performances.”  I’m still hung up on the fact there are 2,544 billionaires ahead of her. Let that sink in.

5. And science has finally confirmed what I and maybe you, already knew. The next time you’re flipping a coin, if you want to put the odds in your favor, make sure the side facing up is the one you called. According to a new study, a coin flip is not a 50-50 chance.  It turns out that the coin will land on the side facing up slightly more times than not. Someone better keep an eye on next year’s coin flip at the Super Bowl, that’s all I’m sayin’.  and THAT’S TRENDING
