The City of Wichita has scheduled two online town halls on topics that came out of the city’s annual resident survey.

The survey found that street maintenance and crime prevention were areas of high importance.

A town hall on street maintenance will be held Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and it will focus on street maintenance.  It will be streamed live on the city’s YouTube channel with links to the city’s Facebook, X and Nextdoor channels.   A panel will answer questions from residents, and questions that come in at a later time will be answered later by staff.

The next town hall will be held Monday, April 15th from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and it will deal with crime prevention.

The city began work in December on the process of putting together a city budget for 2025 and 2026.   That process will be completed in August after a proposed budget is presented to the City Council.   More information is available on the city’s web page at wichita.gov/budget
