A tribute concert in honor of the late Jimmy Buffett takes place tonight in Los Angeles. The event is called, “Keep the Party Going: A Tribute to Jimmy Buffett.” Paul McCartney, the Eagles, Eric Church, Jon Bon Jovi, and Kenny Chesney are just a few of the performers. The event is at the Hollywood Bowl.

 

 

 

 

Less people tuned into the CMT Music Awards this year than last. The show attracted five-point-38-million viewers between the ages of 18 and 49. That’s slightly less than the previous year. However, the 2024 CMT Music Awards was the top-viewed program of the night, outdoing ABC’s “American Idol.” It’s being rebroadcast tonight on CMT if you missed it.

 

 

 

With Chris Stapleton and Ryan Gosling set to be on SNL this weekend, the new promo is out and it shows Ryan taking his obsession with Chris a little too far.

 

 

 

 

More country news outlets are picking up on what I pointed out Monday.  Keith Urban dropping that “5-3-24” when he counted the band in.  Some are speculating he may have moved up the album release date from the fall to May 3rd, because Keith has said he’s psyched to get the album out.  I still think it’s when he’ll release that new duet with Lainey Wilson which has been heavily rumored to have happened.

 

 

 

 

The Grand ole Opry is set to salute the troops on May 21st ahead of Memorial Day weekend. Opry member Craig Morganwho serves as an Army Reserve Warrant Officer, will perform with the 313th U.S. Army Band in addition to Opry member Lauren Alaina, Lee Brice, HunterGirl and more

 

 

 

 

and AI has given us something we didn’t know we needed, a mashup of past and present, creating a version of Beyonce’s “Texas Hold Em” sung by the legendary Hank Williams.
