Today, we honor Veteran Fred Minnick. With a weapon in one arm and a camera in the other, Fred was part of Task Force Olympia and his job was to be embedded with the troops to take pictures and document everything. The pictures were to be used to brief everyone from the media to high ranking military officials. Needless to say, some of the images he photographed stuck in his head. When he returned home, he knew he was different and tried running as a coping mechanism which lasted until he injured his foot. Soon, rage and suicidal thoughts took over. It was only though therapy and mindfulness he was able to start to heal. That healing led him to a career as a world-renowned spirits expert who has written seven books, co-founded the Bourbon & Beyond music festival and more. Congratulations on finding your success Fred and THANK YOU for your service.
